The Museum of Lost Interaction
Exhibition website, branded and built for the 2006 Museum of Lost Interactions, Interactive Media Design, Dundee (Curated by Graham Pullin). The themes I developed for the website (and the themes of the exhibition) stuck with me and continue to exist in my branding to this day. The brand has also inspired future editions of the exhibition, with the following two utilising the logo, a similar palette and type. After the exhibition, Graham and I also designed a range of posters for use in external advertising.
Castlesound Studios
I was tasked by the management team at Castlesound Studios in Edinburgh to design and build a photo-centric website to show off their top of the range recording facility. The website features my photography alongside some existing work - unfortunately I can't take credit for the 'best' ones, just the slate and recreation room shots!
Hillhaven Bed & Breakfast
After staying at this 4 star accommodation whilst filming on location in Fortrose, I was asked by owners Stephen and Fiona to develop a website that would attract more custom. A year on and trade has increased notably thanks to a well built, search engine optimised website and some offsite search engine techniques. The site itself features content management and a simple availability checker.
Inchture Hotel
This is the second revision of the Inchture Hotel website. Originally a large SEO focused Joomla! website, now scaled back to a nice clean (and still equally SEO-friendly) Wordpress installation. The website shows off some of my own photography as well as images taken by Matthew Scharf.
Robin Pilcher
Originally designed by Subtense, Robin's website was running on an old installation of Wordpress. Having taken control of hosting services, the site had to be rebuilt around up-to-date versions with some elements modified to suit. Nevertheless, the design remains a beautiful piece of work by the original designer!
The Pilcher Bank House Dornoch
The Pilcher Bank House in Dornoch is offered as self-catering holiday accommodation by the Pilcher family. Once home to Rosamunde, the bank house is set in the heart of the town. I spent a number of years at The Scottish Antique & Arts Centre's Abernyte base during University as a sales assistant. During my time there I also began developing point of sale graphics, printed materials and working on web based marketing solutions such as electronic mailing list software and some rudimentary e-commerce concepts. After leaving the company to develop my own business I was tasked with building a bespoke e-commerce platform for a spin-off brand and a re-designed web site for the core business. These websites have yet to be put live unfortunately.
